Jonathan Blackford

Sound Editor

Jonathan has been a freelancer for the past 11 years working as an audio engineer in various parts of the entertainment industry including music studios, live music, theatre, sound design & location recording (film & concert) amongst others.

Prior to this freelance period he spent 9 years working in theatres & concert halls working in all areas of the backstage world, a good grounding for all the aspects of show business with bonus of some fond memories.

When not engineering he can be found on the other side of the engineer/music border making all manner of strange noises playing some normal instruments & some weird and quirky instruments of the electronic type, in various bands. This has taken him to such grand gigs as Glastonbury Festival, Montreux Jazz Festival & Womad as well as many others. Some of these performances were also played on national radio.

All of the above started from hearing Jean Michel Jarre on his uncles hi-fi in the early 80′s

The one thing that Jonathan is also known for is his sense of humour… just ask the production team…
