The 13^th Day featured at the John Paul II International Film Festival in Miami, Florida on October 31^st 2009 where it played to a sell out audience.  Natasha Howes, the Producer, attended the festival, and wants to congratulate and thank the JPII team for a phenomenal experience and truly inspired selection of movies.

The 13^th Day was nominated for The People’s Award, by ‘the people’.

The 13^th Day premiered in Fatima at the Sanctuary amphitheatre on October 13^th 2009.  Attended by the main cast and crew, we were warmly received by the Portuguese national press and an audience of 1500 people, including the Rector of the Sanctuary.

Organised with our Portuguese distribution partner, Paulus Editora, The Premiere celebrated the release of the Portuguese subtitle version of The 13^th Day in Portugal.  The 13^th Day (O 13o Dia) is available to purchase online at  www.paulus.pt/loja go to Multimedia, in stores in Fatima, and at Paulus bookshops nationwide.

The 13^th Day Portuguese subtitle version is now also available to purchase in Brazil by Sao Paolo.

The festival commemorates the Islamic Revolution of 1979, each year the Fajr International Film Festival in Tehran screens some of cinema's most socio-politically sensitive, original and subtle productions. We are delighted to announce that the Shrine in Fatima have endorsed The 13th Day with the following statement…

The Shrine of Fatima recognizes that this independent fictional film, based on the events surrounding the apparitions of Fatima, is of great value. It is an intense film that shows great sensitivity. It shows research and dedication, and it is well structured. From the very first contacts the Shrine had with the production crew, the group always manifested to have, as main purpose for this work, to highlight the message of Fatima. After viewing the final product, the Shrine congratulates the entire crew and prays that this main purpose may soon come to fruition, so that the world may, through Our Lady and this remarkable event for the Church and for the world, come to God.

In addition, the Shrine has agreed for The 13th Day to Premiere at the Sanctuary theatre, the Amphitheatre of Paul VI Pastoral Centre, a 2200 seater auditorium in Fatima on October 13th 2009 at 21.00.

We are working with Paulus Editora to enable this awesome opportunity to present The 13th Day spectacle of the Miracle of the Sun, on the actual anniversary and location of its original occurrence.

The 13th Day is now complete, and fully mastered in High Definition, Dolby surround sound ready for distribution.

We will be making our industry premiere on May 13th 2009, the opening day at the Marche Du Film in Cannes Palais F at 11.30am.

We aim to make it available to view as soon as possible, so our current focus is to find a distributor with the right commercial and spiritual sensibilities to exploit the full market and message delivery potential of the film.

We are currently negotiating for the license rights in North America, and so hope to be able to make the film available to view and buy within 6 months.

The 13th Day will Premiere for cast, crew and the press in select ‘invitation only’ screenings at the end of May. These will be in Birmingham, UK, and of course in Fatima, Portugal. Dates t.b.c.
